Vacations

Life is wonderful, but never more wonderful than when you are enjoying time with those you love. Over this summer, my family and I had the pleasure of a few days at the beach on holiday. It was a great time. The kids laughed. They played. They swam. They built a sand castle. They wanted to stay longer. . . I wanted to stay longer. I want to go back already!!

Since the vacation was so short, this blog will be short as well. I leave only a picture of one of God's most beautiful creatures (no not a pic of me - silly billies)...

:)

Ode to Fathers...

Today on the bench, I have been working on my father's birthday gift. Every year on his birthday, I make him two videos from various songs. Usually one sappy one and then a silly one, but this year they are both kind of sappy.

The songs this year are Daddy's Hands by Holly Dunn and Erik's Opera by Omar Crook. Erik's Opera is from the Happy Feet Two movie. I heard this song and knew right away it was going to be on Dad's DVD this year. It is just a cute song.

Of course, some of the lyrics include being a penguin... So, that's gonna be funny. But I have to say, the end lines... My Hero, My Father! So awesome!!!

Love my Dad. He is special even when we argue. Well, I better get back to those songs, instead of writing here.

I'll leave you with this...

New Beginnings

There has been quite a bit going on here. Not only have I gone through a change of sorts, I have decided to try and keep up with this blog! Yes, that is a task in of itself. We shall if it holds up.

**Side note** for some odd reason, as I type this blog, I hear the words spoken in my head with an Irish accent. Mind ya, I am not Irish, though I do fancy one day going to Ireland.

I would like to take a minute to promote the viewing of a movie.

Shrek the Third! Why, because it is what I am currently watching and I makes me laugh! Everyone should laugh now and again, so if you want a good laugh, what Shrek the Third!

I must also promote my newest favorite singer... Adele!

She has a lovely voice, and her speaking accent is sultry. Most people know her for Rolling in the Deep, which I must say - Great song! - but she has a song, Someone Like You, that I LOVE. Of course, it is a bit down, but I have always loved a sad song.

Whisper...

To Love...

Hello

This is just the first of many post, I hope. I shall be blogging on what interest me or whatever pops into this silly little head of mine.

Looking forward to keeping this up, and meeting some new people.

Have a good day.
